CAN WE PROVIDE AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE THE MOST DIFFICULT OF CLIENTS CAN EMBRACE AN AUTHENTIC CONNECTION TO A RECOVERY PATH THAT IS UNIQUE TO THEM?
We created Heartland Recover Center to answer this one primary question.
Our mission is to create a unique and tailored environment that connects our clients to the path of recovery. In addition, we connect and rebuild families.
We have gathered a team of professionals who believe that even the most difficult clients can recover when exposed to recovery in a way that they can connect with. By offering multiple paths of recovery, intense clinical counseling, and family integration within an intentionally difficult recovery program, our clients will receive one-of-a-kind care.
We simply do not focus on physical recovery, but emotional, spiritual, and cognitive balance in order to give our clients the optimum care they need. Due to our facility being heavily staffed, our clients will interact with 5-6 counselors during their time in treatment.
Hidden away in Lowell, IN, where you would least expect it, we have designed a place where the average person can get an above average experience.
WHAT IF DRUGS OR ALCOHOL AREN’T THE PROBLEM,
BUT A SYMPTOM OF AN UNDERLYING CAUSE?
Oftentimes, in recovery circles, it’s unveiled that drugs or alcohol are simply symptoms of the problem. Rarely do you hear what exactly the problem is. Many people have this vague understanding that perhaps the drugs, alcohol, or addictive behaviors aren’t really the problem, but they are usually left somewhat hanging. As a result, they end up trying to fix the symptoms (drugs, alcohol, et al) rather than focus on the problems themselves.
But what if there was an underlying problem? And what if this problem not only created symptoms of drugs, alcohol, and other things but also other common symptoms that exist in most everyone who walks the path of addiction?
Sooner or later, someone struggling with addiction often decides to quit. Well, quit what? Drugs, pills, huffing, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, alcohol, gambling, pornography, sitting around the house, not looking for work, watching TV, video games, etc. The list goes on and on. Whenever someone contacts Heartland Recovery Center for help, the first thing they do is try to describe the problem.
“My son is addicted to heroin.”
“My wife can’t quit shopping.”
“My friend is an alcoholic.”
Within moments they have described the problem in the best way that they know how, with the behavior or substance that their loved one is abusing. But what if that isn’t the real problem at all?
At Heartland Recovery, we work with both clients and family to identify the root causes of addiction and substance abuse. We then provide them with a custom-tailored approach to treating that problem while mending their bodies and souls.
