The New to Recovery individual can be broken down into three categories:
- a person who may have hit their personal bottom
- a person who feels external consequences, but may not be committed to complete abstinence
- a person who feels they just need a life break
This person may have never been in formal treatment. This individual may or may not know exactly where they “fit”. They may be struggling in different areas of their lives, relationships, work, home, financial, and/or school. Could this be linked to the drug or alcohol use? This may be a question they have asked themselves. At Heartland Recovery we will work to tailor a personal recovery path guided towards a better way of life for the individual who is new to the recovery journey.
