Jaime Rogers, Outreach Coordinator, is a life-long resident of Northwest Indiana, graduating from Portage High School and earned her B.A. from Indiana University Northwest. From the time that she graduated from high school to the day that she joined the team at Heartland Recovery Center, Jaime’s path both personally and professionally has been one of experiential learning. At times, it was as if Jaime’s personal life/struggles opened the door to a career reflective of that specific struggle. As a teen mom, Jaime recognized first-hand how difficult it was to further her education, provide for her child, and not fall into the stereotypical profile of a teen mom.

With a passion to overcome the odds and rise above her circumstances, Jaime obtained her college degree and was on her way to helping others. With over a decade of dedication to adolescent health and education including her position prior to joining the Heartland team, Jaime was the Lead Prevention Specialist at A Positive Approach to Teen Health (PATH) where she passionately shared her knowledge and research, leading the education department in the design, development, and delivery of curricula for middle and high school students. She was afforded the opportunity to passionately engage thousands of teens and parents throughout the country over the past several years regarding topics like high-risk behaviors, teen pregnancy, drug/alcohol use, overcoming obstacles, and achieving a desired future.

Through her journey, Jaime has learned to value authentic connections and is passionate about serving others and building relationships. She intuitively builds a level of trust that allows relationships to flourish. She is a great addition to the team at Heartland Recovery Center, having first-hand experience with substance abuse and addiction both professionally and personally. She understands the damage that addiction creates and has a strong desire to help others on their path of recovery.

Jaime is actively involved in leadership roles throughout the region, including BOD secretary for Porter County Substance Abuse Council, an active steering committee participant for the regions newest leadership program, SLYCE serving as class rep for Leadership Northwest Indiana program (LNI 36). Jaime is a strong member at Heartland Recovery Center, bringing excitement and great anticipation of plugging people in to a program that works and has the potential to bring real life change to addicts and those who love them.
