The Group Rooms provide a safe environment, without the construction of barriers, such as tables that impede communication of barriers. The design addresses the tendency of some membership to isolate on the fringes, thereby being disengaged. The rooms were designed to project a safe, comforting, and caring environment to embrace the client, the peers, and staff ins a psycho-socially supportive therapeutic environment. The characteristics of the physical environment affects patient outcomes, client satisfaction, client safety, and organizational outcomes. The Cypress Room was designed with a modern, urban flare to promote warmth and creativity.
